different spacing between items in different languages

Hello, I have to write many documents in German and French for the medtech exercises. Doing this, I recognized, that there is a different between the vertical spacing of items in these two languages. When the main language is set to \usepackage[french, ngerman, main=french]{babel}, then the items of \itemize doesn't have any space in between of each other, while they do have extra space when the main language is set to main=ngerman. I don't know if this is a babel issue or a BFH-CI issue, so I thought I state it here.

thx!
